In honor of Georgia Paralegal Week, the Atlanta Paralegal Association stepped up to support our client in her transition from abuse to stability.
At the annual Beer Tasting event on June 14th, Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation and Atlanta Legal Aid raised over $80,000 for pro bono legal services for Atlanta families in need.
On June 6th, our Steering Committee visited Hollis Innovation Academy – one of our Standing with Our Neighbors™ schools – to learn more about the work we’re doing at the intersection of health, housing, and intimate partner abuse.

It’s National Housing Week of Action! The more engaged we are, the better our community can support the needs of all Atlantans in a fair and equitable way.
The Shriver Center’s Racial Justice Institute trains each cohort on racial equity in anti-poverty advocacy. The Fellows’ advocacy covers issues such as criminal justice reform, consumer protection, and immigrants’ rights, and more.
Through new pilot funding from Partners for HOME and the CFGA, our new client assistance program is bringing stability to Atlantans who need emergency help.

On March 6th, AVLF staff members discussed tenants’ rights and Protective Order basics at an Immigrant and Housing Coalition meeting at New American Pathways.

On March 21st, AVLF attended the inaugural Beloved Benefit, where we were recognized for our work in Atlanta’s Westside community.
