Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation (AVLF) invites attorneys from all practice areas seeking a meaningful pro bono experience to join our Intimate Partner Abuse program. This training will equip you with the necessary tools and confidence to provide legal assistance and representation to survivors of intimate partner abuse and stalking in 12-Month Protective Order hearings. AVLF staff will be addressing the changes to TPO hearings and representation in this program during COVID-19. Training topics will include the dynamics of intimate partner abuse, an overview of applicable state and federal law, and the processes and logistics of obtaining a TPO in Fulton County.
