Research indicates that people with disabilities face higher rates of violence and abuse from intimate partners compared to people without a disability. In addition, people with disabilities may also face additional barriers and experience unique challenges while seeking support and working toward healing from abuse. This webinar will focus on the experiences of survivors with disabilities, including unique dynamics of abuse and barriers faced while seeking assistance. It will aim to increase participants’ ability to competently and sensitively work with survivors with disabilities and make services more safe and accessible for all.
