Representing Survivors of Family Violence in Protective Order Hearings

AVLF invites you to join our dynamic Domestic Violence Project training so that you can take part in representing survivors of intimate partner violence. In order to prepare you, we’ve specifically designed a training that will highlight all that is involved in the process. This training will equip you with the necessary tools to provide legal assistance and representation to victims of intimate partner violence/stalking who are seeking civil protective orders in Fulton County Superior Court. Training topics will include the dynamics of domestic violence, an overview of applicable state and federal law, highlights of relevant family law and the mechanics of taking and successfully completing a case, start to finish.
