Home Is Not For Rats
Most of the units in Will’s complex were boarded up and abandoned. Rats came to his apartment looking for food. They got into his kitchen through the unit’s numerous holes and nibbled on her bread.
His landlord shrugged and provided rat traps, which quickly filled with dead rodents.
Appalled, Will stopped paying rent and came to AVLF’s Saturday Lawyer Program. There, he met Bradley Hull of Ford Harrison. Bradley’s letters and phone calls to the landlord were ignored, so he filed suit.
Ultimately, the landlord agreed to waive thousands of dollars in rent, and returned Will’s security deposit in full. He has now moved into a much nicer home. Great work, Bradley!
