As we head into the Labor Day weekend, I want to take a moment to wish you a happy and safe holiday.

Can you believe it? Fall is right around the corner – a time of reflection on what we’ve achieved and the many lives we’ve impacted thanks to your continued support. While the year feels like it’s moving quickly – it proves time flies when you truly enjoy what you do.  

So far in 2024, we have …

• Added seven new members to our amazing Board of Directors – expanding the diversity of leadership.  

• Added new attorneys and social workers to our staff, expanding our team to 65 passionate professionals who stand with Atlanta every day.  

• Served 1,000+ Atlantans, including reaching many through our various neighborhood- and courthouse-based programs who would otherwise stand alone.  

Every day, our team members, volunteers and supporters show up with a mindset to make a difference in the lives of others. Their hard work and dedication to advocating for those impacted by housing injustices and intimate partner abuse speaks volumes about the values that drive us. We are grateful for each of you who stand alongside us in our mission to support and empower families throughout metro Atlanta. 

As you enjoy the long weekend with family and friends, know that your efforts make a difference in the lives of so many. Thank you for being a vital part of this journey and for your unwavering support of AVLF’s mission.
