Atlanta Public Schools honored Staff Attorney Ayanna Jones-Lightsy with the 2018 Unsung Hero of the Year Award for her impact on the school community through the Standing with Our Neighbors™ program.

The Warner Bates Guardian ad Litem Benefit was a successful night of important fundraising for a program most crucial to the Fulton County courts.

On September 12th, the Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta awarded Kilpatrick Townsend the Skills-Based Project Volunteerism IMPACT award for their work with AVLF.

On the weekend of May 24th, AVLF’s Safe and Stable Families team attended the 36th Annual Family Law Institute. Staff Attorney Joel Correa was awarded a distinctive scholarship to attend.

AVLF’s Safe and Stable Homes team was honored with two special awards this month, which recognize their commitment to lifting Atlanta communities.

AVLF board member Adria Perez was presented with the Trailblazer award, and staff member Gabriela Medina Núñez gave a student testimony.

Perez received the honor for her tireless work on behalf of survivors of domestic violence.
