Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation’s Nilufar Abdi-Tabari represented Ms. Tabby in her 12-month protective order hearing. Nilu confronted the client’s husband in court about how he abused his wife for decades. Ms. Tabby’s adult son testified about the ongoing abuse and about how he has had to intervene in order to protect his mother. 

Thanks to Nilu, Ms. Tabby was given possession of her home – and freedom from continued abuse from her husband. We are so proud of the hard work and dedication of our volunteers as well as of our staff members.
