Paying Rent for an Uninhabitable Home
Angel moved into her apartment and noticed a terrible smell right away. She had numerous issues with her apartment, such as her sink overflowing whenever her neighbor did laundry. The Housing Authority came out to inspect the property multiple times. They suggested that she move.
With the help of the Housing Authority, Angel found a new place to live – but she lost her security deposit. The landlord claimed she owed over $4,000. Volunteer attorney William Holley II of Parker, Hudson, Rainer and Dobbs LLP helped Angel get her security deposit back in full, and the amount the landlord claimed she owed was waived.
Thank you, William!
