Katie serves as the managing attorney for the Access to Counsel PILOT Program. There, she provides legal assistance and representation to tenants threatened with or facing eviction in the City of Atlanta.
Katie is a dedicated attorney with a passion for advocating for tenant rights and promoting safe, fair, and affordable housing. Graduating from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2019, she began her legal career by clerking for a superior court judge in Dalton, Georgia, where she gained valuable insights into the judicial process over the course of a year.
Following her clerkship, Katie joined the Atlanta Legal Aid Society as a staff attorney. During her four years there, she developed a strong commitment to providing legal assistance to those in need, focusing on issues surrounding housing and tenant rights.
Since joining AVLF, Katie has focused on protecting the rights of tenants in the City of Atlanta and promoting access to legal representation in eviction proceedings.
