AVLF Drafts Our New Cristo Rey Interns

LAUREN FRAZIER | SEPTEMBER 12, 2018

Join Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation in welcoming our 2018-19 interns from Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit High School.

Cristo Rey Draft Day is no ordinary event. It’s a high-energy gathering where Cristo Rey students are “drafted” by the school’s partners for a year-long internship. AVLF is pleased to announce that two new interns will be joining our family: Ashley Tornez-Cortes and Linda Solana, who are both sophomores at Cristo Rey.

Our wonderful interns will support our Saturday Lawyer and Standing with Our Neighbors™ programs in their respective roles. We are delighted to have them on the team, as they will play a critical part in helping AVLF fulfill its mission to create safe and stable homes and families across Atlanta.

AVLF and Lawyers for Equal Justice staff welcome our 2018-19 Cristo Rey Interns after the “draft”.

With experienced, talented mentors and a unique working environment, our new interns will have an exclusive opportunity for learning and growth – all the tools required for their future career enhancement.

The students had a joint orientation with AVLF and Lawyers for Equal Justice on September 10th, where staff members from both organizations explained what kind of work they do, and why they do it.

Please join us in welcoming our interns to the AVLF community.
