Leave a Legacy of Safe and Stable Homes and Families
Your commitment to equal justice can last for generations.
By including Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation in your estate or financial plans, you can help ensure that Atlantans facing unsafe housing, eviction, abuse, and instability continue to have access to the advocacy and support they need.
A planned gift can be one of the most meaningful ways to support AVLF.
Ways to Make a Legacy Gift
Include AVLF in your will or trust
A charitable bequest allows you to support AVLF through your estate while retaining control of your assets during your lifetime. You may leave a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder after other obligations have been met.
Name AVLF as a beneficiary of a retirement account
You can designate AVLF as a full or partial beneficiary of an IRA, 401(k), 403(b), or other retirement account.
Name AVLF as a beneficiary of life insurance
AVLF may be named as a beneficiary of an existing life insurance policy.
Explore other planned giving opportunities
Depending on your circumstances and charitable goals, AVLF may also accept gifts through charitable trusts, securities, real estate, and other assets. Some complex gifts require additional review to ensure they are appropriate for both the donor and AVLF.
For more information or to discuss planned giving, please contact Libby Rother, Development Director (lrother@avlf.org).
AVLF encourages donors considering a planned gift to consult with their own legal, financial, and tax advisors. AVLF does not provide legal or tax advice. Certain gifts may require review under AVLF’s Gift Acceptance Policy.
