What Cristo Rey Student Interns Have Learned at AVLF

On April 20, Angela, Antonio, Monique, and I presented our project at the Kilpatrick Townsend building in Midtown as part of Project CEO.

Project CEO is a presentation that allows students to show what they have learned from their companies. In the presentation, we shared what we thought our internship company’s values were, how we think we’ve added value, and how the company has made a difference in our lives. We also we related our school values to what we experienced at our companies. A large part of how we evaluate these values are through the Grad at Grad value system.

Grad at Grad values are the values that a graduate needs at graduation. There are five Grad at Grad values:

  • Open to Growth
  • Work Experienced
  • Intellectually Competent
  • Loving
  • Committed to justice.

These values are important because they help us to become men and women for and with others.

Antonio introduced our Grad at Grad values and elaborated on the value Open to Growth. Monique introduced our company values and elaborated on the value Intellectually Competent. Angela introduced the value Loving and elaborated on the value Committed to Justice. I introduced the values Work Experienced and Committed to Justice. Overall, the presentation was great, and we received many compliments.

At AVLF, I have learned the value of client service, giving back to the community by helping the less fortunate, and the importance of paying attention to detail.
