Cristina Dumitrescu

Director, Director, Legal Services

Cristina is the Director of Legal Services for the Safe & Stable Families Project. Cristina oversees the Intimate Partner Abuse Program, the Family Law Program, and the Guardian ad Litem Program. Together, these programs assist survivors of intimate partner abuse with an array of legal and social services.

Prior to her position at AVLF, Cristina served the low-income community of Atlanta for 12 years as an attorney with the Atlanta Legal Aid Society. Cristina obtained her Juris Doctor degree and a dual bachelor’s degree in Cultural Anthropology and Spanish from Mercer University.

Cristina was born and raised in Romania and has lived in the metro Atlanta area since 1996. She is passionate about animal rescue and serves on the Board of Directors for DREAM Dachshund Rescue.
