Old World versus New World

Maison de Grand Esprit Cremant de Bourgogne

Sparkling White

This sparkling wine from Burgundy is made using the traditional champenoise method also used to make Champagne. Displaying a beautiful pale gold hue, Crémant de Bourgogne plays a fine balancing act of zesty elegance – clean, crisp with a subtle creaminess and lingering finish. White stone fruit and a touch of citrus can be noted.

François Lurton Les Fumees Blanches (Languedoc, France)

Sauvignon Blanc | OLD WORLD

This French Sauvignon Blanc has a pale bright yellow color with some hints of green. The nose reveals a delightful alchemy with a blend of citrus notes (grapefruit and lime), notes of white flowers (jasmine), and a hint of smoke. Elegant palate, with a fine balance between a smooth attack, with citrus and fresh fruit aromas, and a fresh finish, typical for the vintage, with notes of grapefruit, giving the wine excellent length.

Flint & Steel

Sauvignon Blanc | NEW WORLD

This Sauvignon Blanc has a classic Napa Valley edge. Flint & Steel Sauvignon Blanc offers lively aromas of grapefruit, honeysuckle and lime followed by notes of minerality. Juicy nectarine and mango flavors flow across the palate. A steely backbone frames the fruit and delivers a refreshing wine well suited for sipping and pairing with food.

Maison L’Envoyé Bourgogne Blanc

Chardonnay | OLD WORLD

From two mature vineyards in La Roche Vineuse, this is a classic Chardonnay with nose of citrus fruits and lemon zest. The weighty, textured mid-palate boasts flavors of grilled nuts and stone fruit, while a long line of vibrant acidity enlivens the finish.

Sonoma-Cutrer

Chardonnay | NEW WORLD

This wine has the signature Sonoma-Cutrer balance from start to finish with a creamy and juicy mid-palate. Bright fruit aromas of kiwi, apple and white peach are followed by notes of toasted nuts and stone fruit, with touches of sweet oak and honeysuckle. Flavors of stone fruit and lime are accented with toasted nuts and barrel spice.

Bieler Pere et Fils Rose Provence

Rosé | OLD WORLD

The classic Provencal Rosé profile is what every serious winemaker around the world attempts to mimic – and for good reason. Dry rosé not only remains one of the fastest growing wine segments in the US wine market but has even accelerated further this past year, and Provence, France remains the standard for what consumers are buying and drinking. The aromas and flavors of this French Rose are all so finely knit together: from the more savory lavender and rosemary to rose petal notes to citrus, wild raspberry, and tart cherry. There’s acidity on the tongue yet a hug of richness.

Isabel Mondavi Rosé of Cabernet Sauvignon

Rosé | NEW WORLD

Light pink and salmon-colored, Isabel Mondavi made this wine with Provence in mind. Fresh, aromatic and enticing aromas of strawberry, cranberry and ripe pear fill the glass. Lightweight in the mouth with waves of flavor roll across the palate. A nice touch of acidity on the palate gives the wine a long, crisp finish.

Gerard Bertrand Cap Insula

Red Blend | OLD WORLD

Coming from the la Clape region of the Languedoc (which is one of the most beautiful spots in the Languedoc) and offering lots of tobacco leaf, blackcurrants, chocolate and spice, the smokin’ good Languedoc Cap Insula is medium to full-bodied, nicely concentrated and textured, with a core of sweet fruit. Made from a blend of 47% Syrah, 30% Grenache and Carignan and aged in barrel.

SAVED Red

Red Blend | NEW WORLD

SAVED Red Wine is a robust, powerful wine with a big personality and a generous finish. It is big, bold and rich, with pedigree sourcing from California’s finest regions. It is a robust blend of Merlot, Malbec, Syrah, Zinfandel, and small amounts of other red varietals curated to add more dimension to the aromatics and rich fruit flavors. It opens with aromas of ripe figs and vanilla followed by jammy flavors of blackberries and spice, all perfected by French-oak aging. Its finish is long and generous.

il fauno di Arcanum

Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot | OLD WORLD

Traditionally, cooler climate years in Tuscany create elegant and ethereal high tones of fruit. The nose explodes with bright raspberries and wild berries, with some floral tones of lavender. Though a Bordeaux-style blend, the palate is more Burgundian with soft elegant tannins and textures. The slightly higher than usual acids firmly frame a potpourri of blueberry and sour cherry. The fruit slowly subsides giving way to exotic spice, reminiscent of cardamom and finishing with sweet black licorice.

Fortress Sonoma County

Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot | NEW WORLD

Fortress Cabernet Sauvignon delivers aromas of dark fruit, mocha and baking spices on the nose. The palate exhibits well integrated tannins that complement the subtle earthy flavors of pomegranate, blackberry and sweet pipe tobacco. With a rich, opulent mouth feel, Fortress is an approachable wine with a silky, lush finish. It is well-rounded, expressive and complemented with additions of Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Merlot.

Guado al Tass Il Bruciato from Antinori

Big Red

The Bruciato offers an intense ruby red color. The nose is dominated by intense notes of ripe red berry fruit and complementary aromas of sweet spices and coffee. Ample and balanced on the palate, the wine shows silky tannins along with a sweet and spicy finish and aftertaste. The wine is aged in barriques for at least 8 months and for a further 4 months in the bottles, and is both intense and very smooth.
