SUMMARY:Volunteer: Eviction Defense Training
DESCRIPTION:This training is targeted to attorneys who would like to volunteer with AVLF by assisting with eviction defense cases\, but everyone is welcome to attend.\n  \n\nAVLF’s Safe and Stable Homes Project assists tenants facing landlord issues and illegal evictions with information and support to be able to advocate for themselves and connects them with volunteer attorneys for advice and/or full representation as appropriate. \nIn this virtual training\, attendees will learn about the history of affordable housing in Atlanta\, as well as the basics of Georgia eviction law and Fulton County dispossessory proceedings. Attorneys must attend this training to be eligible to accept eviction cases with AVLF. \nIt qualifies for 2 CLE credits with the State Bar of Georgia.
