The AVLF Domestic Violence Project’s Safe Families Office (SFO) is Georgia’s only courthouse-based attorney-staffed walk-in clinic offering legal protection and safety planning to the victims of family violence and stalking.
Who We Assist
Victims who seek safety from intimate partner violence, child abuse, or elder abuse in Fulton County – and who want the protection that the law can provide – should come to the SFO in the Fulton County Courthouse.
How to Get Help
The first stop in seeking safety is the Family Division’s One Stop Office on the 8th floor of the Fulton County Courthouse, located at 136 Pryor St., Atlanta, GA 30316. Once there, the joint team from Partnership Against Domestic Violence and Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation will help you devise a safety plan and consider what protection the law can offer. Should a Temporary Protective Order be part of the plan, you will be fully supported in your effort to secure that Order.
