Fundraising Events
As AVLF has expanded its programs to reach greater numbers of eligible clients in different ways, funding needed to be supplemented in order to increase staff size. AVLF has two major fundraising events each year.
Annual Winetasting Fundraiser
The Winetasting Fundraiser has become AVLF's signature event, and is eagerly awaited by the Atlanta legal community each fall. Leading Atlanta law firms volunteer to host the event, contributing office space, staff and hors d'oeuvres.
The Winetasting draws a crowd of over 500 Atlanta lawyers, accountants and their spouses and friends, who contribute at the $10,000, $5,000, $3,000, $1,500 and $300 level. For further information about our Winetasting Fundraiser, please contact Jeffrey McIntyre, Office Manager, at 404/521.0790.

Summer Associate Fundraiser and Cocktail Party
The purpose of the Summer Associate Fundraiser and Cocktail party is to introduce law stu
dents who are clerking in Atlanta to the pro bono opportunities that are available when they begin their law practice. AVLF invites representatives from a variety of programs that provide civil and criminal services to low income clients to speak about their need for volunteer lawyers and to share their written materials.
The function, now an Atlanta summer tradition, is the only event which gathers summer associates from all firms in Atlanta at one setting and generally draws a crowd of approximately 250 students. The students' firms make a donation of $50 per student to AVLF.
